How the Model Works
Application & Eligibility Review
Graduates submit an application for consideration, free of charge. Eligibility is determined using some internal review processes, while education is verified using trusted third-party services.Loan Balance Verification
We confirm the loan balance using verified methods, including credit reports and payoff statements.This establishes a defined funding target.
Funding Target
The total funding amount is determined and provided to the applicant. Within each funding target includes a 3% buffer to account for interest, fees, and the timing between application to remittance.Queue Structure
Approved applicants are placed into a sequential queue based on internal applicant identification number. As funding becomes available, applicants are funded in order. Queue position is not publicly displayed and is not influenced by donation size or external preference.Final Verification & Payment
Once funded and a final verification step is completed, payment is sent directly to the loan servicer on behalf of the approved graduate.Funds are never distributed directly to individuals.
